Pay Per Use

Pay per use is the default charging mode of OBS. Infrequent Access buckets and Archive buckets are charged only in pay per use mode. You pay for the used storage capacity based on the actual service duration (in hours), without a minimum fee. In this charging mode, the settlement involves three charging items in total, as listed in Table 1.

NOTE:
  • For Infrequent Access storage, objects must be stored for a minimum duration of 30 days. If objects are deleted earlier than 30 days, they are still charged for a service duration of 30 days. Objects stored over 30 days are charged based on their actual storage duration.
  • For Archive storage, objects must be stored for a minimum duration of 90 days. If objects are deleted earlier than 90 days, they are still charged for a service duration of 90 days. Objects stored over 90 days are charged based on their actual storage duration.
